The Albufeira-Ferreiras station is located 6 km (3.7 mi) away from the city center. There is a taxi service available at the station as well as regular buses, connecting Albufeira-Ferreiras with the city center.

Although the building of the station is quite small, Albufeira-Ferreiras is one of the major railway hubs in Portugal, offering everything travelers need for a stress-free visit. Inside you can find the ticket offices, restrooms, public phones, a comfortable waiting room, and a bar.

The regional service ticket office works from 6.40 a.m. to 9.15 p.m. every day with breaks from 12.20 p.m till 12.50 p.m. and from 7.30 p.m. till 8.00 p.m. The international service ticket office is at your service from Monday to Friday (not counting public holidays) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a break for lunch from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
